This is a qualification for those engaged in driving operation job roles within the transport and logistics industry.
It involves a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, with some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.

This qualification reflects the role of a skilled operator working in civil construction. It covers common skills for the construction industry, as well as specialised skills for different areas of work. Some job titles in this career include:

The qualification is made up of 7 core units, plus 18 elective units. It takes 25 units to complete the qualification. Construction Industry Training has customised their electives for this qualification in order to provide two specialist learning pathways: (1) Pipe Laying and (2) Road Construction and Maintenance.
To work on a construction site, you need to have the right training. The National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) requires that you complete the “CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry” unit or its equivalent. By doing so, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification for preparing for work in the construction industry.
