Q: Can I skip Basic Scaffolding and jump straight into Intermediate or Advanced classes?

A: No. SafeWork NSW enforces a strict regulatory progression structure. Because upper-tier certifications build directly on structural weight logic, loading tolerances, and basic component configurations, you must hold a verified Basic (SB) ticket before enrolling in Intermediate (SI), and an Intermediate ticket before attempting Advanced (SA).

Q: Is a scaffolding licence valid across different Australian states?

A: Yes. Under the national harmonised Work Health and Safety framework, high-risk work cards issued by SafeWork NSW are fully recognised by regulatory bodies in every state and territory across Australia, allowing you to operate legally on any domestic project site.

Q: What personal gear and documentation parameters apply on day one of my scaffolding course?

A: Candidates must present original, non-laminated documentation to satisfy the mandatory SafeWork NSW 100-point identity metric on the first morning. Because scaffolding involves demanding manual handling, lifting, and climbing drills, you are strictly required to wear worksite PPE—specifically steel-capped safety boots, durable long work trousers, and a high-visibility shirt or vest.

Many of our scaffolding students also complete our “Forklift Operators”  course
