Kickstart your rigging and crane career with our comprehensive 5-Day Dogging Course for $1,600.00. Master slinging techniques, load weight estimations, and crane radio communications through hands-on training with real cranes at our Unanderra facility.
The Ultimate Site Gateway: Real Cranes & True Practical Simulations
-
5-Day Comprehensive Package ($1,400.00): Avoid fragmented weekend classes. Cover your core safety modules, intensive practical slinging hours, and your mandated SafeWork NSW assessment components in a single continuous week.
-
No Simulators—Train on Active Mobile Cranes: Skip the classroom games. We train you using real slewing mobile cranes and full-scale industrial loads under authentic outdoor site conditions at our Unanderra yard (275A Princes Hwy).
-
Master the Math with Zero Stress: Don’t let load weight formulas scare you. Our certified instructors specialise in breaking down Working Load Limit (WLL) equations, sling angles, and center-of-gravity dynamics using simple, clear, step-by-step guidance.
-
The “Block Training” Combo Strategy: Looking to maximise your market value fast? Because a valid DG licence is the unconditional prerequisite for Basic Rigging (RB), ask our team about booking your Dogging and Rigging courses back-to-back to graduate as a highly employable, dual-ticketed rigger.

Q: Why is a Dogging (DG) licence mandatory before I can apply for a Rigging ticket?
A: Rigging involves the structural assembly and securing of massive building components, columns, and cantilevered platforms. Because you cannot safely secure or erect a load without first knowing how to choose correct slinging gear, inspect shackles for defects, and safely direct a crane operator, SafeWork NSW legally mandates a Dogging qualification as the foundational prerequisite.
Q: What specific testing protocols must I clear to earn my SafeWork NSW DG licence?
A: The mandated SafeWork NSW evaluation consists of three core assessment paths: a Knowledge Assessment (written or verbal safety theory evaluation), a Calculations Assessment (proving you can accurately calculate load weights and structural tolerances using standard formulas), and a Performance Assessment (a physical practical test where you sling a load and guide a crane operator through a complex obstacle course via whistle, hand, and radio commands).
Q: What operational identification and gear must I provide on the morning of my course?
A: To satisfy SafeWork NSW compliance checks, you must be a minimum of 18 years of age and bring original documentation to accumulate 100 points of identification on Day 1. Because this course requires extensive manual work around active heavy cranes, you are strictly required to wear worksite PPE—specifically steel-capped safety boots and a high-visibility shirt. You will also need a passport-quality photograph to submit alongside your final paperwork at Australia Post.
