CPCCLRG3001, CPCCLRG3002 LICENCE TO PERFORM RIGGING

Course Overview – RIGGING

These units specify the outcomes required for structural steel erection, movement of plant, hoists, mast climbers, and cantilevered crane loading platforms.

This unit is based on the requirements of the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work and provides applicants with the knowledge and skills required to obtain a High Risk Licence to Perform Rigging duties.

Topics Covered

  • Basic Rigging Course takes a step up from Dogging with more advanced safety apparatus and includes inspection of equipment, use of a safety harness, preparing rigging equipment and hazard control measures.
  • Intermediate Rigging Course builds on basic rigging and introduces advanced safety apparatus construction such as the rigging of cranes and the inspection of tilt panels.

Course Duration

Full
Competency-based training over 5 x 7 hr  days. (7am – 3pm)
Formal
1-2 days formal training, 1 day practical training & up to 6 months logbook on the job
Employer involvement needed with supervision from a licensed operator

What You Need To Know

  • Must have current dogging licence
  • A current Basic Rigging Licence is required before beginning Intermediate Rigging course
  • All students must pass a language, literacy & numeracy assessment (LLN)
  • Minimum 18 years of age (Workplace Health and Safety requirement)
  • Provide three forms of identification click here to view valid
  • Wear steel capped or safety boots on site; sun protection – hat long sleeves and pants – is also recommended

Assessment

Students complete the mandatory informal training on the job or at their current employment.
Formal training is completed at a All Onsite Training and Assessment site
Employer must agree and fill in all relevant areas of student’s logbook
Includes a written assessment on completion of formal training

Re-Assessment

Applicants deemed not yet competent will be provided the opportunity to undergo further training.
Applicants cannot be reassessed for a minimum of 48 hours from the date of the original assessment.
Note: There is no extra cost for this extra training or reassessment

Licences and Certification

These are  Nationally Recognised Training courses and applicants deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment CPCCLRG3001, CPCCLRG3002 LICENCE TO PERFORM RIGGING and the appropriate Licensing Body’s – Licence to Perform High Risk Work Application form.

Cancellations and Withdrawals

In the event of cancellation or withdrawal:
  • Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment more than 10 days prior to the commencement of a program will be entitled to a full refund of fees paid.
  • Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment less than 10 days prior to the commencement of a program will be entitled to a 75% refund of fees paid. The amount retained (25%) by All Onsite Training and Assessment Services is required to cover the costs of administration and resources which will have already been committed based on the students initial intention to undertake the training.
  • Students who cancel their enrolment within 1 full business day prior program commencement OR after a training program has commenced will not be entitled to a refund of fees.
  • If All Onsite Training and Assessment Services cancels the training course, and is not rescheduling then a full refund will be returned to the payer
