Heavy Combination (HC)

A heavy combination, or class HC licence covers heavy combination vehicles like a prime mover towing a semi-trailer, or rigid vehicles towing a trailer with a GVM of more than 9 tonnes.

Also includes vehicles in class HR.

Minimum requirements:

Applicants must be the holder of a current NSW MR or HR truck licence and have held that licence for a minimum of one year.
Applicants must complete the Roads and Maritime Services HC Knowledge Test and obtain a Competency Based Assessment Learners Logbook and Guidebook from the RMS.
Study the CBA guidebook before starting the course.
All students must pass a language, literacy & numeracy assessment (LLN)

For all classes of licence training undertaken with All Onsite Training & Assessment, you will be required to follow the steps, outlined below, to obtain your heavy vehicle licences:

Study for the class of licence you wish to obtain.
Pass the knowledge test at the RMS.
For your LR, MR, HR and HC licence you should obtain the competency based assessment books from the RMS.

Once you have been deemed competent, return to the RMS to have your photo licence processed.
